<p>English batter James Vince has expressed his displeasure over the No-Objection-Certificate (NOC) of the England Cricket Board (ECB). He believes that the ECB is giving preference to the Indian Premier League (IPL) over the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in it's NOC policy. </p>
<p>Recently, the 33-year-old batter thought that it will be better to leave Domestic Cricket in order to play in the PSL, but now he said that the NOC policy of the ECB is not right. He also went on to make a massive statement that how PSL is better than the IPL.</p>

<p>In a conversation with ESPNCricinfo, James Vince said that apart from me, many other players have failed to understand the NOC policy of the England and Wales Cricket Board. We weren't able to understand why the IPL is getting preference over the Pakistan Super League in the policy of the England Cricket Board? He said that the entire matter is decided by the relationship of the BCCI and the Pakistan Cricket Board with the England Cricket Board, but I believe that giving preference to the Pakistan Super League over the IPL would have been a better decision, but it is not so.</p>
<h3><strong>In what way is the PSL better than the IPL? </strong></h3>
<p>The experienced English batter believes that the PSL is better because it last for less days in comparison to the cash-rich Indian T20 league. In such a situation, if the English players play in the Pakistani Super League, then their chances of missing International Cricket will be less too. </p>
<p>Let us tell you that recently the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) released it's new NOC policy and in accordance to that policy, if the Three Lions are scheduled to play any international game, then an English player won't be allowed to participate in any t20 league, but if the IPL is taking place, then they can definitely continue to take part in the Indian T20 league.</p>

<p>Amidst the headache of the 2025 Champions Trophy, another big headache has come up for the Cricket governing body of Pakistan, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The forthcoming edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 is set to take place post the conclusion of the Champions Trophy and the schedule of the tournament has been shifted to a different window due to the ICC event taking place in the window of the T20 league of Pakistan. </p>
<p>Due to such reasons, the Pakistani Cricket Board has taken a bold decision, which has made it face criticism from Cricket fans. It can only be called a compulsion that the players who went unsold in the 2025 IPL Mega-Auction ie who failed to buy a buyer in the auction will now be signed by PSL franchises. For this, a list of players which includes the unsold IPL players too has been prepared. </p>
<h2><strong>There will be a clash between the IPL and the PSL</strong></h2>
<p>Two of Cricket's biggest T20 leagues, the Indian Premier League (IPL) and the Pakistan Super League (PSL) are set to get involved in a schedule clash with each other. All of this is happening because of the 2025 Champions Trophy which will be played in February-March of next year. While the T20 league of Pakistan takes place in these months every year, this time around it has been posponed because of the Champions Trophy. </p>
<p>The 2025 edition of the PSL will be played in the months of March and April and IPL 2025 will also be played during the same window. This has led to a scheduling clash between two of the biggest T20 leagues but we all know that overseas players give the preference to IPL as they get the chance to earn a lot of money by taking part in the cash-rich T20 league of India.</p>
<h2><strong>PSL Franchises will be more than happy to go after unsold IPL 2025 players</strong></h2>
<p>PSL franchises are keen on signing up unsold IPL 2025 players for the upcoming edition of the PSL. They want to sign them as soon as possible in order to avoid the situation where they leave the tournament mid-way to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL). This puts the tournament in trouble and it's excitement will fade away. </p>
<p>It's worth noting that many big players like David Warner, Keshav Maharaj, Alex Carey, Adil Rashid, Shai Hope, Kane Williamson, Akeal Hossain, Daryl Mitchell and Jonny Bairstow went unsold in the 2025 IPL Mega-Auction as they failed to find suitable buyers for themselves. But, the PSL franchises have put forward the names of these players to Pakistani Cricket Board (PCB) for the 2025 PSL Draft. </p>
<p>According to a news report of PTI, the PCB has started contacting the managers of these players. The board wants clarification regarding their availability for the forthcoming edition of the T20 league. These big players can play an important role in doubling the excitement of the Pakistani Super League.</p>

<p>In what has been the latest development, it is learned that the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 is all set to clash with the<a href="https://www.iplt20.com/" data-type="link" data-id="https://www.iplt20.com/"> Indian Premier League</a> (IPL) 2025. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has looked at the April-May window to stage the tournament.</p>



<p>Pakistan Cricket Board has looked for a window between April 7 to May 20 to stage the PSL. This means that the tournament will be clashing with the Indian Premier League, which usually takes place in the same window.&nbsp;</p>



<p>The development is happening because the 2025 Champions Trophy will be taking place in Pakistan in February-March, a window where PSL takes place. The decision was taken after the PCB had a meeting with the six PSL franchise owners.?<br></p>

<p>Releasing the official statement, PCB stated:&nbsp;<em>?Due to the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 being held in the traditional event window, the event window for the 2025 event will be April 7?May 20. Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi to host matches in Pakistan with each side playing, at least, five matches on home ground.?</em></p>



<p><em>?The PCB will continue to explore additional venues. Four playoffs proposed to be staged at a neutral venue</em>.?&nbsp;</p>

<p><em>?At the back of this meeting, and in relation to the most suitable window for PSL 2025 and beyond, the PCB will share further data with the franchise owners so that they can discuss amongst themselves, make a more informed decision and share their ideas and thoughts at the General Council meeting.?</em></p>

<p><strong>Latest PSL Points Table 2024: </strong>Mohammad Rizwan-led Multan Sultan bagged the biggest win of the season in the last league stage of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024. They defeated Quetta Gladiators by 79 runs at the National Stadium in Karachi and sealed the top spot in the latest PSL Points Table 2024.</p>

<p>Multan Sultan put up 185 runs total, batting first against Quetta Gladiators at the National Stadium. Skipper Rizwan contributed with a 47-ball 69 followed by a brilliant 53-run knock by Johnson Charles in just 29 deliveries. To finish off things, Iftikhar Ahmed struck 20 runs in 8 deliveries.</p>



<p>For Quetta Gladiators, Amir scalped two wickets while one wicket apiece was bagged by Abrar Ahmed and Wasim.</p>



<p>The 186-run chase needed lion-hearted effort from the batters. However, as it turns out, Quetta Gladiators was restricted to the lowest total of the season by Multan bowlers. </p>



<p>The Gladiators could only score 106 runs before getting bowled out in 15.5 overs. The team couldn't see any big innings from any of their players. The best they could get is 37 runs knock off the blade of Omair Yousuf.</p>



<p>The superb bowling effort led by David Willey and Usama Mir, who picked three wickets each, ensured that Karachi Kings convincingly took up the win against Quetta Gladiators. </p>

<p>Multan Sultan confirmed the top berth in the latest PSL points table following their big win against Quetta Gladiators at the National Stadium in Karachi. On the other side, Quetta Gladiators are placed in the fourth position with 5 wins from 10 matches. </p>



<p>Both Multan Sultan and Quetta Gladiators have qualified for the playoffs in the <a href="https://psl-t20.com/">PSL</a> 2024. Besides these two teams, Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United are the other two teams that have confirmed their places in the playoffs.</p>

<p><strong>Latest PSL Points Table 2024 Updated: </strong>Peshawar Zalmi ensures the top two finish in the ongoing season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) with a decent win over Karachi Kings in match 29 at the National Stadium in Karachi. Babar Azam's Peshawar sealed the fixture by 2 runs in the final delivery of the match and moved to atop the PSL Points Table 2024.</p>

<p>The game saw Babar Azam score a fine half-century, though almost run-a-ball, which helped his side rack up 147 runs in 20 overs after losing six wickets. Peshawar Zalmi couldn't produce any big innings, barring Babar Azam's 51-run knock which came off 46 deliveries. </p>



<p>Towards the end of the innings, Rovman Powell added a handy 30 runs to the team's total in 18 deliveries before getting run out.</p>



<p>Eventually, Peshawar set a target of 148 runs for Karachi Kings to win the game. Though the total didn't look threatening, Karachi Kings lost it as they continued losing wickets at regular intervals.</p>



<p>Despite getting a decent start to their innings with a first-wicket partnership of 61 runs in 8.5 overs, Karachi fell 2 runs short of the required target in 20 overs. Wicketkeeper batter Tim Siefert played a 41-run knock in 30 deliveries.</p>



<p>Midway through the innings, Shoaib Malik chipped in and scored 22 runs followed by Irfan Khan's unbeaten knock of 39 runs in 26 deliveries, but it wasn't meant to be their night. </p>



<p>Karachi Kings eventually lost the game against Peshawar Zalmi by 2 runs. It's noteworthy that Karachi had nothing to lose as they were already eliminated from the playoff race.</p>

<p>Peshawar Zalmi have managed to get hold of the top 2 spot in the PSL Points Table owing to their win against Karachi Kings, last night. The top two finish would provide them with an additional opportunity to proceed to the finals, even if they lose the first qualifier.</p>

<p>The PSL 2024 kicked off with the clash between the defending champions Lahore Kalanders and Semifinalists Islamabad United where the latter sealed sounding victory. Shaheen Shah Afridi's Lahore Kalanders have been treated like an absolute trash this season as have lost 9 out of 10 games in the season. They could only manage to defeat Islamabad United in the reverse fixture.</p>

<p>The table topper team at the end of the group stage will compete against the second-ranked team in the qualifier match to be played on March 14. The winner(Q1) will qualify for the finals directly. </p>



<p>The third and fourth-ranked teams will play the Eliminator 1 round where the losing team will be eliminated and the winners(E1) will play the Eliminator 2 against the losing team of Qualifier(Q2). The winner of Eliminator 2 will play the final against the winner of Qualifier.</p>

<p><strong>Latest PSL Points Table 2024: </strong>This is the first time in the last four years, Quetta Gladiators have managed to qualify for the PSL playoffs. This time, the Rilee Rossouw-led Quetta Gladiators held their nerves and got over the line with a last-ball win against Lahore Qalandars in match 28 of the Pakistan Super League 2024. The win powered Quetta to the top 4 stage, while Lahore stand disqualified from the tournament following their utterly disappointing show.</p>

<p>In the chase of 166 runs, Quetta lost their first wicket at a score of 39 runs in the sixth over in the form of opener Jason Roy. The skipper, Rilee Rossouw, too perished soon at a score of 66 runs. The wickets kept falling from one end, while opener Saud Shakeel's grit held the other end firmly.</p>



<p>The game went till the final over with Quetta requiring 14 runs. Shaheen Shah Afridi struck in the first delivery of the over, dismissing Laurie Evans. Mohammad Wasim Jr came to the crease and gave the strike to set-batter Saud Shakeel, who smashed two boundaries in two consecutive deliveries before taking a single.</p>



<p>Quetta Gladiators now required four runs off the final delivery of the over with Mohammad Wasim on strike. The batter swung his arm to the length ball and deposited the ball into the stands, taking his side to the memorable win by six wickets.</p>



<p>Earlier in the game, Lahore Qalandars added 166 runs in the loss of 4 wickets in 20 overs. Middle-order batter Shafique and skipper Shaheen Shah Afridi played half-century knocks in their bid to take their side to a respectable total.</p>



<p>While Shafique remained unbeaten at 59 runs in 39 deliveries, captain Shaheen scored 34-ball 55 in the first innings.</p>

<p>The Pakistan Super League (PSL) has got its top-4 sides for the playoff challenge. Rilee Rossouw's Quetta Gladiators became the last team to secure the playoff berth after they defeated Lahore Qalandars in the epic contest held last night. With 11 points gained after 5 victories, Quetta is placed fourth in the latest PSL points table in 2024.</p>



<p>Lahore, on the other side, had nothing to lose as they were already eliminated from the playoff race following their upsetting run throughout the tournament. The defending champions led by Shaheen Shah Afridi could only manage a solitary win in 10 appearances.</p>



<p>Multan Sultan bagged the top spot in the <a href="https://psl-t20.com/">PSL</a> points table with 12 points followed by Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi, both with 11 points each.</p>

The Pakistan Super League (PSL) is a professional Twenty20 cricket league contested during February and March of every year by six teams representing six cities in Pakistan.

<p>Prithvi Shaw did not find any takers as the Mumbai batter went unsold in the IPL 2025 auction. Prithvi, who had a base price of Rs 75 lakh in the auction, was released by Delhi Capitals but he did not attract any bids from the ten franchises.</p>
<p>Delhi Capitals co-owner Parth Jindal has said that Prithvi Shaw is misunderstood in many ways but needed a 'jolt' in the form of the IPL 2025 Auction snub. Shaw has been part of the Delhi franchise since returning as the U-19 World Cup winning captain in 2018 and was bought for 1.2 Crores. Ahead of the 2022 auction, the Mumbai batter was retained by DC for Rs. 7.5 Crore but the past few seasons hasn't been great for the 25-year-old.</p>
<p>Speaking to Sports Today, Jindal said that Shaw is a great kid but needed a jolt to get up from his slumber. The DC co-owner feels that Shaw needs to work hard, get back the love of the game and get disciplined. Jindal ended by saying he hopes the Mumbai batter can return back to his best form</p>

<p>The MI Emirates produced a clinical display with the bat and the ball, handing the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders a 28-run defeat at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in the Match 14 of International League T20 (ILT20) 2025 on Tuesday, January 21.</p>
<p>MI Emirates got off to a strong start when they were asked to bat first, with openers Muhammad Waseem (38) and Kusal Perera making a strong stand at the top. The Sri Lankan Perera was the first to leave for 23 soon before the powerplay ended, following a 42-run partnership between the two players. Tom Banton entered, and he and Waseem made sure the MI Emirates maintained the run rate.</p>
<p>Banton was out for nine around the halfway point of the innings, while Waseem was out for 38 shortly after. Kieron Pollard replaced skipper Nicholas Pooran, but the seasoned right-hander struggled to get going and was eventually sent out for five by Ali Khan. With just over 6 overs remaining, the score was at 102/4.</p>
<p>Following Dan Mousley's dismissal for six, Romario Shepherd joined his skipper for the innings' last stretch. Jason Holder made a solid 49, but Pooran, who was hitting it cleanly, was almost at his half-century before he fell.</p>

Hopes of a recovery were raised when Sunil Narine and Andre Russell were called to the middle and embarked on a half-century stand.</p>
<p>But Narine was caught at cover for 13 in the 18th over, and David Willey was dismissed by Fazalhaq Farooqi in the 19th. The MI Emirates won easily, and Russell, who was still undefeated at 37 from 23 deliveries, was unable to lead his team across the finish line.</p>
