India and Pakistan, the two arch rivals are set to clash versus each other in the Champions Trophy and fans were eagerly waiting to get their hands on the tickets for this highly anticipated clash. But, the tickets got sold off within an hour of releasing and more than 1.5 lakh fans were waiting to buy the match passes.

The highly awaited and the most exciting contest of the year, the India versus Pakistan clash is set to be played on the 23rd of February in the city of Dubai as both teams will be meeting each other in Champions Trophy 2025. The thrill of watching an India-Pakistan match live from the stadium is a dream of every Cricket fan and many fans proceeded to buy tickets for the highly anticipated clash, but reportedly the tickets issued for this thrilling encounter were sold out within an hour. More than 1.5 lakh people were waiting in line to get their hands on the tickets. 

According to the IANS News Agency, the tickets for the India versus Pakistan Champions Trophy 2025 clash which were available to purchase from the ICC ticket portal got sold off within an hour. The report further stated that more than 1.5 lakh people waited patiently to buy the tickets but they were made to for more than an hour to secure the match passes. 

Team India will play their Champions Trophy 2025 matches in the city of Dubai

Let us tell you that the 2025 edition of the Champions Trophy is going to be hosted by Pakistan, but the Indian Team will play all of their matches in the city of Dubai. Due to security-related concerns, the BCCI decided not to send Team India to Pakistan for the upcoming tournament.

The forthcoming edition of the Champions Trophy kicks off on the 19th of February but the Men in Blue will kick off their campaign on 20th of February versus Bangladesh. Then, three days later on 23rd February, they will play their second match and this one is also the most awaited one as Fierce-Rivals Pakistan will square off versus the Rohit Sharma-led team.

Hosts Pakistan are a part of Group-A along with New Zealand, Bangladesh, and Arch-Rivals India. 

Pakistan are the Reigning Champions

It's worth noting that the Cricket Team of Pakistan is the reigning and the defending champions of the Champions Trophy. They lifted the precious trophy in 2017, where they defeated Team India in the all-important Final and secured the title.

In that clash, the Sarfaraz Ahmed-led team batting first posted a competitive total of 338-4 on the board and in response, the Men in Blue were humiliated by the Pakistani bowlers as they got all out for a mere score of 158 runs in just 30.3 overs.
