CSK batter Ambati Rayudu announces IPL retirement, later deletes the Tweet: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) experienced batter Ambati Rayudu on Saturday took it to Twitter to bid his final goodbye to the Indian Premier League (IPL) career, but the cricketer later deleted the tweet.
Rayudu deleted the tweet minutes later in which he had written that the ongoing season of the Tata Indian Premier League (IPL) would be his last season of the tournament.
"I am happy to announce that this will be my last IPL. I have had a wonderful time playing it and being a part of 2great teams for 13 years. Would love to sincerely thank Mumbai Indians and Csk for the wonderful journey," read Ambati Rayudu?s tweet.
Former Indian cricketer, Irfan Pathan replied and congratulated Ambati Rayudu for a proud cricketing career and said, "Played cricket with you since our u-19 days. Always admire your batting and the energy you give on the field. Wish you well for your journey ahead brother. You have done very well and should be proud of your achievement @RayuduAmbati.
Notably, this is not the first time when Rayudu has put up absurd tweets about his retirement. In 2019 after he was overlooked by the selectors for India?s ODI World Cup squad, Rayudu had announced his retirement, however, the cricketer reversed his decision and played in the Indian Premier League later.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) acquired the services of Rayudu for INR 6.2 Crores. Chennai fought bidding wars with a couple of teams to bag his services during the player auctions in 2022.
Rayudu?s abrupt decision to draw curtains to his IPL career created a stir among the netizens who asked for some sort of clarification. CSK CEO Kasi Vishwanathan later confirmed that Ambati Rayudu is not going to retire and will be with CSK for the next season as well.
"He was a bit disappointed that he was not doing well. So, he mistakenly put out that tweet. I have explained things to him. He is not retiring. He will be with us,? said Kasi Vishwanathan, CSK CEO.
