While Gaikwad smashed the LSG bowlers till the 12th over where he played 39 balls scoring 72 runs but after the 15th over, he was just having the best view of Shivam Dube’s striking. Dube came like a thunderbolt and stunned each LSG bowler.

His aggressive power-hitting gave CSK the required push and then skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad rocked Yash Thakur in the 18th over where he scored 14 runs in three balls to complete his second IPL century and first in Indian soil.

In his 108 runs innings, he smacked 3 sixes and as many as 12 runs. He played the innings with a strike rate of 180 and this has become the third-highest individual score in the 2024 edition of IPL.

With his impressive 108 innings off 60 balls, he is now in the second spot for the most runs after Virat Kohli. While Virat Kohli has scored 379 runs in 8 games, Ruturaj has amassed 349 runs and closely eyeing to occupy the Orange Cap.
