Deepak Chahar provides updates on his injury, says ?I will definitely try and get fit by then?: Young pacer Deepak Chahar is one of the vital cogs of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) lineup and his absence was felt by the franchise in the last edition of the Indian Premier League. Chahar?s services elevated to INR 14 crores in the IPL 2022 auction, but CSK never backed out and retained him for a hefty price tag. However, the speedster had to sit out in the entire IPL 2022 following an unfortunate back injury.
Initially, it was rumoured that the pacer may require 3-4 months time to recover and get back in his shape, however, the cricketer himself has dropped updates on his fitness which brought a sigh of relief to his fans.
Deepak Chahar is expected to recover in the next four-five weeks time. Currently, he is in the National Cricket Academy (NCA) Bangalore, undergoing rehabilitation.
As per the PTI report, Chahar is gradually picking his pace. He is bowling four-five overs in one go without any distress.
"I am bowling four to five overs at one go as per my rehab programme right now. My recovery is going pretty well and I think it will take another four to five weeks for me to get match fit," the seamer was quoted as saying in the report of PTI.

The 29-years old pacer confirmed that he won?t be match-ready for the upcoming T20I series against England. He reckons that he will require a few club games to assess his fitness before he makes a comeback to the international circuit.
"It's a step by step process as far as recovery is concerned. I don't think I will be fit for England T20s. Once I am match fit, I will need to play some club level games to check my fitness," said Chahar.
However, he showed his optimism to be back during India's tour of the West Indies, starting July 22. India will play three ODIs and as many T20Is against West Indies in the Caribbean.
"I can't say that but I will definitely try and get fit by then. Let's see," he said.
