England Tour of Pakistan 2022: It has been 17 years since the England cricket team reached Pakistan for a T20 series and later for three Test matches. This England tour of Pakistan is for the first time since 2005 ahead of the T20 World Cup in Australia. While it may have been over a decade since the national team visited Pakistan, several squad members from the England side have participated in the PSL in Pakistan over the years. This historic tour will not only be a test of England's bench strength, with some of the first-choice players not available for the Karachi leg including captain Jos Buttler but will also serve as good preparation for the T20 World Cup 2022.
England has called on some inexperienced players for the tour (England tour of Pakistan), including five debutants. Opener Jason Roy has been left out after struggling for runs all summer, averaging 12.66, while Chris Jordan (finger) and Liam Livingstone (ankle) are not featured in Pakistan due to injuries. Captain Jos Buttler has been included in the squad for Pakistan but is recovering from a calf injury and is expected to play only in the later part of the tour, with Moeen Ali leading the side.
