The Ashes, regarded as one of the most fierce and thrilling rivalries in the world of Cricket is back and this time around, it's the women who will be locking horns versus each other. The 2025 Women's Ashes series kicks off from tomorrow, 12th of January as the women's teams of England (ENG) and Australia (AUS) will be battling it out versus each other in three One-Day Internationals, as many Twenty-Twenty contests and a single one-off Test-Match till the 2nd of February. 

This exciting bilateral event kicks off with both teams taking on each other in the first ODI at the North Sydney Oval Cricket Stadium. The forthcoming exciting contest will commence at 5:00 AM IST (Indian Standard Time). 

Aussie skippsr Alyssa Healy is set to maker her highly-awaited return to the Cricket field from a long injury break and she will be seen donning the precious Captain's hat once again in the forthcoming Women's Ashes series. While the return of their skipper is a good news for the Kangaroos, they have suffered a setback as star all-round Sophie Molineux will be absent from this exciting event due to an injury. 

Despite this, the Mighty Australians would be looking to keep on improving their Ashes H2H record having last lost the series way back in 2013-14. Heather Knight-led England on the other hand haven't had things going their way in recent Ashes bilateral events and they would be looking to start things off on a fresh note and not let their poor results in the past bring them down.

The afternoon period is expected to experience windy conditions which makes things even more difficult for the first match of the Women's Ashes. Winds are anticipated to blow at a speed of 24 kilometers per hour (km/h) with a humidity percentage of 66%.
