England Women, one of the strong contenders for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024, continues their excellent performance. Heather Knigh lead ENG-W defeated South Africa Women by seven wickets on Monday and remains at the top of the points table with a total of four points. England Women is at the first position in the points table of Group B with four points and a run rate of +0.653. England has played two matches so far in which they have won both the matches. England Women is the only team in Group-B that has not lost a single match in the tournament so far.

In the points table of Group-A, New Zealand Women is at the first position with two points and a great run rate of +2.900. Australia is at the second, Pakistan at the third and India Women is at the fourth position.

England Women vs South Africa Women, 9th Match, Group B

South Africa Women captain Laura Wolvaardt won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 124 runs for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs. Captain Wolvaardt scored 42 runs in 39 balls while Marizanne Kapp scored the runs.

In bowling, Sophie Ecclestone took two wickets whereas Sophie Ecclestone, Linsey Smith and Sarah Glenn got one wicket each.

England Women chased the target of 124 runs in 19.2 overs with the loss of just three wickets. Opener Danielle Wyatt-Hodge scored 43 runs in 43 balls while Nat Sciver-Brunt played a match-winning innings of 48 runs in just 36 balls.
