Harbhajan Singh identifies replacement for out-of-form Virat and Rohit; slam selectors for the double standard for ignoring this star

Harbhajan Singh is known for his blunt views, and he never shies away from sharing his opinion in the betterment of the Indian cricket team. Team India are going through a transition period, and there are a lot going on and off the field. From bad form to injury and from rumors of rift to the team's selection.
That's when Harbhajan has come up with a solution to deal with the bad form of two modern-day greats. Indian captain Rohit Sharma and former captain Virat Kohli have been under the scanner for their declining form in the last six months or so.
Their consistent failures have let India down. India recently suffered a home whitewash against New Zealand and then lost the series in Australia. That kicked them away from making it to the final of the World Test Championship 2023-25. Team India's next stop will be the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, and Harbhajan has identified a player who can perform if Virat and Rohit are not performing.
Harbhajan Singh picks Karun Nair as the potential batter replacing out-of-form Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.
Harbhajan Singh reacted after India's forgotten star Karun Nair slammed yet another century in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024-25. Nair is the leading scorer in the ongoing tournament and has helped his team Vidarbha to qualify for the semifinal of the tournament. Nair has scored a total of 664 runs in six innings at an incredible average of 664 and a strike rate of 120.07.
These are some astonishing numbers, and the Vidarbha captain has slammed five centuries in six innings, which has forced the selectors to consider him for future assignments. Harbhajan also pointed out in one of his videos on his YouTube channel and said India can pick Nair, as Virat and Rohit are both struggling at the moment.
The former spinner said, "Many are selected on the basis of just two games; some are just selected based on the IPL. So, why are the rules different for him? People say Rohit and Virat are out of form, and you’re sending them to Ranji. But those who are playing Ranji and scoring runs… why are you ignoring them? When will these guys play? They are scoring runs here."
Karun Nair played his last game for India back in 2017. He has played six tests and 2 ODIs. Interestingly, he is only the second Indian to score a triple hundred in a test. Despite his triple hundred, he was dropped from the team and was never considered after that. Harbhajan concluded, "I never understood how he was dropped after a triple century. It pains me that no one talks about players like him."
