Chennai Super Kings have faced a huge injury scare ahead of the IPL 2024. Star all-rounder Shivam Dube suffered a side strain injury during the ongoing Ranji Trophy. He felt discomfort after his innings against Assam.
Shivman Dube has been ruled out of the knockouts of the Ranji Trophy and has been deemed unfit to take part further. The all-rounder has been in a terrific touch and it will be a huge blow for the Mumbai team with knockouts ahead.
This can also come as a blow for Chennai Super Kings because IPL 2024 is not so far. The seriousness of the injury is not known and it won?t be a surprise if he misses a few games in IPL. A source close to the Times of India confirmed the development.
The source also revealed that young u19 batter Musheer Khan has been added to the team. The batter was in fine nick in the tournament and played some magnificent knocks. He has played three FC games and has scored 96 runs in five innings at an average of 19.20.

"Dube has a bilateral side strain injury, and is likely to be out of the rest of the Ranji Trophy season. He suffered the injury while batting during the last match against Assam (he scored 121 not out), and didn't come out to field in Assam's second innings at BKC. He has a grade one tear.
?Musheer Khan (the teenaged allrounder did well for the India Under-19 team in the U-19 World Cup in South Africa recently) is likely to be his replacement.? A source told TOI.
Shivam Dube in the ongoing Ranji Trophy has been exceptional with both bat and ball. He has scored 407 runs in five matches at an average of 67.83. Apart from this he also has claimed 12 wickets.
Shivam Dube will be extremely crucial for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2204. The management would be hoping that he recovers quickly and plays a huge role for the team in the tournament.
