Indian Cricket Team are mulling over the fitness of premier pacer Jasprit Bumrah and wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The fitness reports of both players have been a massive concern for the BCCI as they look to name the team for the tournament. 

Jasprit Bumrah is uncertain to be in the Indian team for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. This is because of the back injury that he faced in the last match against Australia, which took place at the Sydney Cricket Ground in Sydney. He has experienced back swelling and has been advised to rest. 

On the other hand, Kuldeep Yadav faced a groin injury during the home Test series against New Zealand. However, after that, he underwent surgery for the same in Germany and has been in the recovery process at the BCCI's National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. 

There were reports that India has delayed the squad announcement for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 because of this thing only as they are awaiting the fitness report of players. It was also learned that the BCCI will be naming the team on 19th January for the tournament. 

Jasprit Bumrah advised rest before going to NCA; Kuldeep Yadav to be declared fit by 25th January

With no clarity over the fitness of Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav, a report in RevSportz has provided a huge update. It is learned that the fast bowler has been advised to take the rest first, and after that, he will be heading to NCA. While the wrist spinner is set to be declared fit by 25th January. 

Earlier, there were reports which suggested that Jasprit Bumrah's injury wasn't that serious. The fast bowler will be named in the Indian squad for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 but won't be playing the league games. He is expected to be fit by the first week of March and will be playing the knockout games. 

The same report also suggested that Kuldeep Yadav will be picked in the England ODIs. This is because BCCI wants the wrist spinner to be in rhythm. It was learned that if he wasn't deemed fit then there are chances that Varun Chakravarthy might be named in the team.

Kuldeep and Bumrah have been an integral part of the team in the ODIs. They played a massive role for the team in the ICC World Cup 2023 and would be hoping to replicate the same in the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
