In what has been the latest development as per the reports in RevSportz, it is learned that BCCI is all set to take a meeting on the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The officials of the governing body will be meeting on Monday (6th January) to discuss crucial things.

The reports claimed that there is no doubt that Rohit Sharma will be captaining the Indian team in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Of late, some reports claimed that Rohit's captaincy has come under scanner after the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, and there are chances that Hardik Pandya might lead the team in the tournament.

The reports also added that Rishabh Pant will be a sure-shot pick in the Indian team for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The keeper-batter has often come under the scanner for his poor performances with the bat in ODIs, and there also have been a lot of concerns about his place in the team for the 50-over format.

BCCI officials will be having discussions over the place of Arshdeep Singh in the team

The reports also added that BCCI officials will be having discussions over the place of Arshdeep Singh in the team. The left-arm pacer played a massive role in India winning the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, as he was the leading wicket-taker for the team in the tournament.

The BCCI also has done a few short meetings to see the combination, and the final decision will be taken tomorrow. The Indian squad for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is all set to be announced on 11th January as ICC has kept the deadline for 12th January.

The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will be the first tournament for India after they won the ICC T20 World 2024. The tournament is all set to be played from 19th February, with India playing all their games in Dubai while the rest of the matches will be played across three venues in Pakistan.

India will play their first game against Bangladesh on 20th February and will be against Pakistan on 23rd February. Their last league game will be against New Zealand, and if they manage to win two games, they might play the semi-final as well.

With India losing the Border-Gavaskar Trophy badly, they will be under massive radar to win the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. It will be a crucial tournament for Rohit Sharma as it might decide his future.
