Trent Boult arguably has been one of the best pacers to have represented New Zealand in cricket. The left-arm pacer has rattled the batting lineups of the opposition single-handedly in all three formats of the game with his ability to swing the new ball.?

Trent Boult has been the kingpin of New Zealand's bowling lineup and has contributed significantly to the side's win. It's fair to say that he has been one of the main reasons behind some of the famous wins of the Kiwis. But since August last year, he hasn't been part of the team.

Boult opted out of the annual contract of New Zealand Cricket to play in the foreign leagues. The left arm has been exceptional in the leagues around the world and has been taking wickets in clusters.?

"In saying that, we've had a lot of conversations with Trent over the last few weeks and months. I'd be very surprised if he wasn't representing New Zealand in the World Cup, and we're having very positive conversations with him."
