The three-match IND vs AUS ODI series will begin on March 17 in Mumbai. Down below is the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 Super League Points Table [Updated] ahead of the IND vs AUS ODIs.
It's worth noting that IND and AUS have already qualified for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. The Men in Blue became the automatic qualifiers for the ODI World Cup 2023 after getting the hosting rights for the tournament. Meanwhile, the Aussies confirmed their place as they are seated in the sixth position in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 Super League Points Table.
The top eight teams in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 Super League Points Table get a direct entry to feature in the ODI World Cup 2023, which will be held in India in October-November 2023. The remaining teams in the points table, then, play the qualifying round along with five other associate nations in order to qualify for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. The top two teams of the qualifying round will get to play the showpiece event alongside the top eight automatic qualifiers.
England is placed atop the points table with 155 rating points followed by New Zealand (150), India (139), Bangladesh (130) and Pakistan (130). The Australian team is sitting comfortably in the sixth position with 120 rating points followed by Afghanistan (115).
So far, seven automatic qualifying teams have been confirmed by the ICC and it remains to be seen who among Sri Lanka, Netherlands, South Africa, West Indies, Ireland and Zimbabwe join them.
IND vs AUS ODI Series
The three-match ODI series between IND and AUS begins on 17th March in Mumbai. The two teams will further move to Vishakhapatnam on 19th March and Chennai on 22nd March to play out the second and third matches of the ODI leg.
