The International Cricket Council have released the latest updated set of men's T20I Team Rankings. However, the updated rating and standings don't include the ongoing series between West Indies and South Africa.
Starting from the top, India, the World T20 Champions, are right at the peak of the chart. India have played exceptional cricket throughout the year, especially in the T20I format.
After winning the T20 World Cup 2024, the three legends of Indian cricket- Skipper Rohit Sharma, former skipper Virat Kohli, and star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, announced retirement from the T20Is. They have left the team on a high note and the youngsters need to keep the legacy on.
India are ranked number one with a rating of 267 in 63 matches. Recently, they whitewashed Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka under the leadership of new captain Suryakumar Yadav and new head coach Gautam Gambhir, who is taking charge after Rahut Dravid.
Australia have played 40 matches and they are ranked second with a rating of 256. They played their last T20I match against India in the T20 World Cup 2024 Super Eight round and now they have a three-match T20I series against Scotland and a three-match T20I series against England in the month of September.
England are third on the list with a rating of 253 in 39 matches. England are currently engaged in a Test series with Sri Lanka and they are scheduled to play in the shortest format against Australia in September.
Pakistan are ranked 7th with a rating of 241 and Afghanistan are rated 223 and sit 10th on the list.
