ICC ODI Player Rankings (Rank 1 to 10) Updated After PAK vs BAN: Pakistani Players are in leading positions in the ODIs as ICC has updated the ICC ODI Player Rankings after the PAK vs BAN match in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. Babar Azam is still the number 1 ODI batter and his compatriot Shaheen Afridi is now the Number 1 Ranked ODI Bowler. There are a lot of shuffles at the Rankings and here we are with the lasted ICC ODI Player Rankings (Rank 1 to 10) Updated After PAK vs BAN ICC ODI World Cup 2023.
There are significant changes in the latest updated rankings of the players in the ODI format. There are 5 Indian, 5 Kiwi players, and 5 Afghan players in the top 10 of batting, bowling, and fielding rankings. Just two Pakistani players are present there in the top 10 of all three categories and both of them are at the Number 1 position. This puts weight on the fact that Pakistan is heavily dependent on 2-3 top players and they drive the team.
Babar has successfully defended his number 1 rank even after some not-so-convincing performances. He has scored 264 runs in the 7 matches with the help of 20 fours and just 2 sixes. He has also three 50+ scores under his belt which helped him to stay at 818 ranking points.
Just following him is the Prince of Indian Cricket- Shubman Gill. Gill missed the first two matches of the tournament and even after, his performance is not up to the mark. He scored 104 runs in 4 innings riding over a beautiful half-century but only one. Nevertheless, he is giving a tough fight to Babar Azam and is just 2 points behind him.
South African left-handed batter Quinton de Kock is at 3 with 765 rating points. He is having an amazing tournament as a batsman. He is right at the top of the most run-scorers list. His compatriot Rassie van der Dussen though slipped 5 positions and now sits 9th on the list.
Warner and Rohit Sharma have made some drastic gains in the latest updated ICC ODI Player Rankings. Warner climbed 3 spots and Rohit has entered the top 5 of the ICC Men's ODI Batting Rankings.
Now, Shaheen Shah Afridi has done some miracles in the past week. He was not even in the top 10 bowlers a week ago and now, he is the new ICC ODI number 1 bowler with 673 ratings. Following him is Australian speedster Josh Hazlewood with 663 rating points.
Shaheen, Hazlewood, Mohammad Siraj, Keshav Maharaj and Trent Boult are the top 5 ICC bowlers in the latest updated ICC ODI Player rankings. Kuldeep Yadav made a gain of 5 rating points and is now ranked 7th in the list.
Nothing much changed in the Allrounders rankings. Shakib Al Hasan is the number one ODI Allrounder. Just a shuttle change is that Hardik Pandya, the only Indian man in the list has been thrown out of the tally and he is replaced by Marco Jansen.
