South Africa would have thought they were on the back foot during the toss, however, as it turned out, it was certainly a good toss to lose. Though the total of 77 appears to be easy for a batting side that boasts the likes of Quinton de Kock, Aiden Markram, Heinrich Klaasen and David Miller, Sri Lanka didn't slip it away easily. They made the South Africans toil hard for each run and the win is rightfully earned by them.

South Africa too lost 4 wickets in the process, but they eventually managed to step over the rope in 16.2 overs.
