ICC U19 Women's World Cup qualification scenario and Points table (updated)| Can India Qualify for the semi-finals?

ICC U19 Women's World Cup qualification scenario: With a convincing win over Sri Lanka in their second and last Super Six encounter on Sunday, India advanced to the semifinals of the 2023 ICC Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup. In the group stage, Shafali Verma and company were unbeatable, defeating Scotland, the United Arab Emirates, and the tournament hosts, South Africa. However, they then experienced a blow as Australia defeated them handily.

A total of 12 teams qualified for the super-six stage where these teams were divided into two groups of 6 teams each. At the end of the super-6 stage, the top two teams of both groups will qualify for the semi-finals. Group A consists of- India, Australia, Bangladesh, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and UAE. Group B consists of- New Zealand, England, Pakistan, West Indies, Ireland, and Rwanda.

ICC U19 Women's World Cup: Qualification Scenario
- Group 1:
India and Australia have played all their matches of super-6 and are at the top 2 positions with 6 points each and officially have qualified for the semi-finals as their Net Run Rate is quite higher than others in the race.
Bangladesh and South Africa, who had very little chance of making it to the semifinals are officially out. Each of the four teams in Group 1 has played all the matches of the Super-6 stage. With 6 points, Bangladesh finished their journey in third place in the points table.
- Group 2:
In the opening rounds of the Super Six matches, England imposed a heavy defeat on Ireland to massively increase their net run rate, and New Zealand did the same against Rwanda. New Zealand is ranked second with 8 points, while England is ranked first with a gigantic Net Run Rate and 8 points. Officially both teams have qualified for the semifinals.
