ICC unveils Champions Trophy Team of the Tournament, 5 Indians in the team, Rohit Sharma not included

Champions Trophy Team of the Tournament: At Dubai International Stadium in Dubai, India, headed by Rohit Sharma, defeated New Zealand to win the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final. A day after the conclusion of the Champions Trophy 2025, the International Cricket Council (ICC) also revealed the Team of the Tournament.

Team India secured an emphatic win over New Zealand in the final of the ICC Men's Champions Trophy 2025, defeating them by four wickets and lifted the trophy for the third time. Under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, the Men in Blue achieved this feat and after this success, the entire squad is being praised by fans all over the country as they are being showered with praise. 

Meanwhile, the ICC has announced the Champions Trophy 2025 Team of the Tournament. However, Rohit Sharma's name is not included in it. 

Indian skipper Rohit Sharma is not a part of the Team of the Tournament

ICC recently announced the Team of the Tournament for the Champions Trophy. total of 12 players have been included in this team. Six Indian players are also a part of the 12-member team. However, captain Rohit Sharma's name has not been included in the list of these 12 players. 

Who is included in the Team of the Tournament? 

The 12 players included in this team are Rachin Ravindra (New Zealand), Ibrahim Zadran (Afghanistan), Virat Kohli (India), Shreyas Iyer (India), KL Rahul (India), Glenn Phillips (New Zealand), Azmatullah Omarazi (Afghanistan), Mitchell Santner (New Zealand - captain), Mohammed Shami (India), Matt Henry (New Zealand), Varun Chakaravarthy (India) and Axar Patel (India). 

New Zealand's Mitchell Santner has been selected as the captain of this Champions Trophy 2025 Team of the Tournament.

Also, no players from Pakistan featured in the Team of the Tournament as the home side failed to perform well versus quality teams and were eliminated from the competition in the group stage.
