(24 Nov) ICC Women?s T20I Team Rankings: The ICC have released the latest updated ICC Women's Team Rankings where Australia still dominate the rest of the world. They last defeated West Indies Women's in October 2-1 in a three-match T20I series and hold the top rank in the T20I Team Standings. The Indian Women?s team secured the Women?s Cricket Gold Medal in the Asian Games 2023 organized in China a couple of months ago. Australia are in the run of their life this year as well. They started the year by winning the Women's T20I World Cup 2023. Then they had a three-match T20I series against England in England where they won the first match but lost the next two and lost the series thereafter.
They are at the top spot of the ICC Women's Team Rankings with 297 ratings in 25 matches. They now have a tour of India for an only test, 5 ODIs, and 3 T20I next year.
England are number 2 in the World Rankings. They got eliminated in the semifinal round of the Women's T20I World Cup 2023. They lost two T20I series back to back. First, they lost 1-2 to Australia and then lost 1-2 to Sri Lanka but somehow have managed to hold that 2nd spot in the Women's T20I Team rankings.
They now have an India tour coming up next starting on 6 December. They will play three T20Is and a test at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai and DY Patil Stadium respectively. They are the second-ranked team with 282 ratings in 27 matches.
New Zealand are the third rank with just 2 ratings more than India. New Zealand Women didn't make it to the knockout stage of the T20I World Cup. They have played only one T20I series this year and they won 2-1 against Sri Lanka women.
India sit 4th in the table with 260 ratings in 37 games. India Women have played the most number of matches in this session and have shone in most of them. They were the semi-finalists of the T20I World Cup 2023 and then beat Bangladesh in Bangladesh in a three-match T20I series. Then they won the gold at the Asian games in Cricket.
