Cricket is like a tradition in India and India got the hosting opportunity this time of the ICC World Cup 2023. A total of 48 matches are to be played among 10 teams at 10 different venues. 15 out of those 48 matches have been played and it has been quite a beautiful journey for cricket and cricket enthusiasts till now.
Team India is scheduled to play 9 matches in the group stage and they have already played 3 of them. India won all three defeating Australia by 6 wickets, Afghanistan by 8 wickets, and Pakistan by 7 wickets at Narendra Modi Stadium Ahmedabad. Now they have 6 more matches to go.
India will lock horns against Bangladesh in the 17th match of the ICC World Cup 2023 on October 19 at MCA Stadium, Pune. Next, India have an important match against New Zealand on 22 October in the 21st Match of the World Cup.
Forthcoming in this tournament, India will also play against England, Sri Lanka, South Africa, and Netherlands in the same order. India are one of the top contenders for the finals this season as the Indian batting line-up is in great form and Bowlers are on a swing.
India will play one game at each of the 10 venues. The Dharamshala match against New Zealand and the Eden Garden Match against South Africa will be closely observed as the toughest matches for team India this season.
The semifinals of the ICC World Cup are scheduled to be played at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, and Eden Garden, Kolkata on the 15th and 16th of November. The Final will be played at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on 19 November.
