Zimbabwe, the table topper of Group A at the end of Group Stage, have done some sort of miracle this year. They defeated the two-time World Cup-winning side West Indies by 35 runs. They have also registered many records in this ICC event and one that is mentioned just before. They recorded their highest-ever total in ODIs of 408 against the USA and hammered them with a massive 304-run defeat.
Sri Lanka, on the other hand, topped Group B as expected and not only they won all their group-stage matches but also managed to uphold the sky-high Net Run Rate which put them at the top of the World Cup Qualifiers Super Six Points table. They defeated Scotland in their last match of the Group Stage.
