By Ankitjit Singh Apr 14, 2023 7:52 AM IST
ICC WTC Final: After two years of spectacular cricket, India Cricket Team has managed to reach the final of the World Test Championship. They played a sensational brand of Test cricket over the last couple of years and the hard work of that has paid off. They will now face Australia in the main event at Oval England from the 7th to the 11th of June.
?This is the second time India has qualified for the final of the WTC 2023. They lost to New Zealand first time and this time around it?ll be an extremely crucial game for them as they haven?t won any ICC trophy since 2013. They have faced a lot of criticism for that and many are backing them to change their fortunes and bring the trophy home.?
ICC WTC Final: India's Squad for World Test Championship Final Prediction
ICC WTC Final: As the World Test Championship is around the corner, we take a look at the predicted Indian Squad for World Test Championship Final. It?s a no-brainer that Rohit Sharma will be the skipper of the team and will open the innings. With the way Shubman Gill has performed, it is likely that he will open the innings fort his team.?
Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli no doubt will be there in the team. The duo has been the lynchpin of India?s batting lineup in the Test and will be crucial to India?s chances this time around. India will be without the services of Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer as they are out due to injuries.
Their absence will leave a massive void in the team but it?ll be an opportunity for other batters to step in and lead India to glory. With Iyer yet to be recovered, Ajinkya Rahane might get back in the team as several reports have suggested the same as well. The batter was in an exceptional domestic season as he piled up over 600 runs and his experience would be something that could be handy for India.?

Also, we could see Sarfaraz Khan receiving his maiden call-up for the Indian team. The reason behind that has been his prime form with the bat. He has been extremely consistent in the domestic circuit. It is also likely that the team might ask KL Rahul to keep the wickets as KS Bharat?s technique will not be suitable for the English conditions but he might also be there in the squad.
Ravindra Jadeja, R Ashwin, Axar Patel and Shardul Thakur are likely to be the three all-rounders in the team. The trio has been crucial to India?s success of late in overseas conditions and is expected to do the same this time around as well. Whereas Mohammad Shami, Mohammed Siraj and Jaydev Unadkat and Umesh Yadav are expected to be the pacers in the squad along with leg-spinner Kuldeep Yadav.
