IND vs AFG ICC World Cup 2023: Kishan continue to open in place of Shubman Gill
Now that Shubman Gill has been confirmed ruled out by the BCCI for IND vs AFG fixture, left-arm batter Ishan Kishan will continue to open the innings with skipper Rohit Sharma.
Both Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan had a forgettable outing against Australia, having being dismissed for a duck. While Ishan Kishan perished playing a fancy shot in the very first over of Mitchell Starc, Rohit Sharma played wrong line against Hazlewood, who trapped the Indian skipper in front of the three sticks.

India's Likely Playing 11 for IND vs AFG Game
Ravichandran Ashwin replaced by Shardul Thakur could be the only change India is likely to make in its playing 11 for the game against Afghanistan, besides the forced one. Going by the nature of surface, Rohit Sharma and management might include a pace bowling all-rounder.
Delhi's Arun Jaitley Stadium staged a record breaking fixture between South Africa and Sri Lanka, a few days ago. The pitch was condusive to batting and if it remains same, then the Indian team may look to go with an extra batter.
