IND vs AUS: Australia announce their squad for the Melbourne and Sydney Tests, this pacer makes his return after a gap of 3 years

Hosts Australia has announced their 15-player squad for the remaining two Test matches of the Border Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) series. Young Sam Konstas has entered the squad, while a dreaded pacer has also returned after three years.

Home side Australia have announced their squad for the remaining two Test-Matches of the 2024 Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) series. Youngster Sam Konstas has been drafted into the squad in place of Nathan McSweeney while a dreaded fast bowler has also made his return to Test Squad of Australia after a span of three years. The 2024 BGT series is currently level at 1-1 after the conclusion of three contests. 

The Indian Cricket Team started the series on a winning note by securing a victory in Perth, but the Mighty Australians bounced back in a lovely way by winning the Pink-Ball Test-Match in Adelaide and the Gabba Test-Match ended in a draw due to rain Interruptions. The two remaining encounters of the series will be played in the city's of Melbourne (MCG) and Sydney (SCG) respectively. 

Seamer Jhye Richardson, who has taken part in three five-day matches, has returned to the Australian Test Team after a gap of three long years. He last participated in a Test-Match in December of 2021. He made his test debut versus Sri Lanka in 2019. It will be interesting to see whether Richardson, who has dismissed 11 batters in three Test-Matches, will get a chance to feature in the Melbourne Test-Match or not versus India.

The Mighty Australians are set to have their youngster Test-Batting debut after a long gap of 70 years with youngster Sam Konstas named in the 15-player squad for the final two matches of the five-match series. Konstas has replaced Nathan McSweeney in the squad, who has been dropped after a poor start to his International career. 

Fast-Bowling All-rounder Sean Abbott has also made his return to the Test team for the matches to be held in Melbourne & Sydney. Uncapped All-Rounder Beau Webster has managed to retain his place in the squad, who was included before the second Test-Match in Adelaide. Experienced pacer Josh Hazelwood suffered a calf-injury during the drawn Gabba Test-Match, due to which he has been ruled out of the remainder of the five-match series.
