IND vs AUS: India Leaves Behind Pakistan to Become No 1 T20I Team: Suryakumar Kumar-led Team India successfully went over the rope against Australia in the 4th T20I held at Raipur. Axar Patel, who didn't perform well in the last few games, turned the contest at Raipur in its head and helped Team India defeat Australia by 20 runs.
While the win aided Team India in clinching the five-match T20I series by an unassailable lead of 3-1, it also helped them become the most successful T20I team in the world.
India, with the win over Australia in the 4th T20I in Raipur, became the first T20I side to register 136 wins, surpassing Pakistan with 135 wins under their belt.
Team India achieved this feat in 213 games with a win percentage of 66.66. While Pakistan has managed to seal 135 T20I victories in 226 games with a slightly lower win percentage of 62.04.
New Zealand, South Africa and Australia are the other three teams in the ranking with 102, 95 and 94 T20I victories respectively. Meanwhile, England is placed sixth in the table with 92 T20I wins.

Meanwhile talking about the India vs Australia fixture, the hosts scored a decent 174 runs in their quota of 20 overs. The Indian openers - Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ruturaj Gaikwad - scored in the vicinity of 30 runs each while later in the innings, Rinku Singh (46 off 29) and Jitesh Sharma (35 off 19) provided the final punch to take the team's overall score to 174 runs.
The Aussies although got a decent opening start, but the Indian bowlers continuously scalped wickets to keep them under pressure. Travis Head started with a fiery opening as he scored 31 runs in just 16 deliveries. Despite having a modest total to hunt, none of Australia's middle-order batters could take the game deep and stay in the middle for longer.
The Indian bowling attack led by Axar Patel kept picking wickets at regular intervals which resulted in a 20-run win. Patel scalped three wickets, while Deepak Chahar got two. Ravi Bishnoi and Avesh Khan got one apiece in their bag.
Team India reduced Australia to 154 runs in the loss of seven wickets in their quota of 20 overs and subsequently registered their third win of the ongoing series against Australia.
The fifth and final fixture against Australia, which will be a dead rubber, will be held on December 3 at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
