The Indian team led by Rohit Sharma played a Test match six months ago, and after a long time, won the match against Bangladesh led by Hossain Shanto by a huge margin of 288 runs at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
Talking about the points table of World Test Championship 2023-25, the Indian team is at the first place in the points table with a winning percentage of 71.67, whereas Bangladesh is at the sixth place with a winning percentage of 39.29.

While the Indian team has won 12 matches, Bangladesh is still looking for its first win. India and Bangladesh will play a test match for the first time at Green Park Stadium Kanpur.

The pitch of Green Park, Kanpur is made of black soil which simply means that the pitch is going to be spin friendly. According to reports, black soil has been used to make the pitch for the second test match.
The last time India and New Zealand faced each other at this venue, the Indian team played with three spinners in the form of Axar Patel, Ravindra Jadeja and Ashwin. Axar took six wickets in this match, including fifer. Jadeja and Ashwin took 5 and 6 wickets respectively.
