IND vs BAN: India makes a world record with historic innings at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, as they turn the greatest full-member nation to score the highest ever T20I total with an iconic 297/6 at Hyderabad.
The Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium has witnessed many such iconic innings played by players, but what team India scripted today would be a unique record for years to come, as they missed a historic 300 by a whisker of just 3 runs.
India would have been the second team after Nepal to have reached a 300+ total in T20 internationals, as the latter is technically the highest-ever run-getter in a T20 inning with 314 against Mongolia in the Asian games of 2023.
At the back of this mammoth total in front of fickle neighbours Bangladesh, India triumphed with a series clean sweep over the visitors as they won the final match by a huge 133 runs, India?s biggest victory by runs against them. Sanju Samson has been coined the Player of the Match for his iconic maiden T20I hundred.
A brief insight into the India vs. Bangladesh 3rd T20I
Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav, who went unchanged for the third consecutive time in the T20I series, as the only change to the side included the likes of spinner Ravi Bishnoi, who made a comeback to the Indian side.
After the skipper won the toss, he elected to bat first against the neighbouring nation, as Samson and Abhishek came into bat as India?s opening pair. However, the rising talent Abhishek failed to perform despite the healthy track at Hyderabad, as Samson and Suryakumar Yadav added 173 runs for the second wicket for India.
Samson scored his maiden T20 international hundred, as he scored his hundred in just 40 balls, the second-fastest for India in the shortest format of the game. Alongside him, the skipper played a captain?s knock as he scored a 35-ball 75 runs, and he reached a milestone of 2500 T20 international runs in a match more than legendary Virat Kohli, 74 games.
All-rounders Riyan Parag and veteran Hardik Pandya handed the most perfect end to the Indian innings, as it was raining sixes at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium when Parag 34 and Pandya 47 scored runs in no time towards the end phase of the Indian innings.

Rinku Singh, who just faced 4 deliveries, surpassed great MS Dhoni to hit the 3rd most sixes in the 19th-20th over for India, with 20 sixes now, one more than Dhoni (19 sixes).
After India batted to a historic 297/6, the comeback spinner Ravi Bishnoi struck three wickets and became the pick among the bowlers. While Mayank Yadav also picked two wickets, alongside a wicket each from Sundar and Reddy.
