IND vs ENG 1st Test 2024: England Defeated India in the First Test Match in Hyderabad, India Lost Three Consecutive Test Match at Home:?England won the first test match of five matches test series against India at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad, India. This was the third test match that the Indian Team hadn't won a test match in India as their last two test matches were drawn and lost against Australia.
England played excellent cricket in the first test match, especially in the second inning with both bat and ball. Ollie Pope led England to have good runs on the scoreboard, he played a superb inning of 196 runs. The Debutant, Tom Hartley bowled well in the spin conditions and took nine wickets in this test match.
The Indian Team played good cricket in the first two days but failed to perform better in the last few days which led them to defeat in the first test match against England in home conditions. Some partnerships formed but they weren't enough to win this test match therefore, India lost the test match in Hyderabad despite having the advantage of spin-conditions and world-class spin bowlers.

England's First Inning:
England batted first and played decent cricket in the first inning therefore they were able to score 246 runs on the scoreboard, Skipper Ben Stokes played a crucial knock of 70 runs in 88 balls. Indian Spinners Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja took three wickets each in the first inning.
India's First Inning:
India had a good start in their first inning which helped the team to have 436 runs on the scoreboard, Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja played responsibly and scored 80, 86 and 87 runs, respectively. From the England bowling department, Joe Root took four wickets whereas Rehan Ahmed and Tom Hartley took two wickets each.
England's Second Inning:
England bounced back strongly in the second inning and they made a massive 420 runs on the scoreboard and gave the Indian Team a target of 231 runs. England's Vice-captain Ollie Pope stood alone against the Indian Pacers and Spinners as he scored 196 runs in 278 balls with 21 fours. However, Jasprit Bumrah took four wickets in this inning whereas Ravichandran Ashwin took three wickets.
India's Second Inning:
While Chasing the target, India had a poor start in their second inning and they lost a couple of wickets in the starting few overs which led them to pressure. Therefore, Indian batters failed to make partnerships and easily gave their wickets. Skipper Rohit Sharma was the highest run-scorer from the Indian side in this inning as he scored 39 runs.
From England Bowling Department, Tom Hartley took seven wickets in this inning whereas Joe Root and Jack Leach got one wicket each. England played strategically in the first test match in Hyderabad and used the Indian conditions against the Indian Team.
