IND vs ENG 3rd Test: After the completion of the first two tests against England in Hyderabad and Vishakhapatnam, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have decided to undergo a bit of change in the setup. With a revised squad announced for the last three test matches, the Indian side is expected to have a changed appearance in the upcoming 3rd test against England in Rajkot.
After having a lot of wicketkeeper KS Bharat, who hasn't impressed the selectors either with his batting or wicketkeeping duties, the limelight is anticipated to shift to young Dhruv Jurel. The young glovesman is likely to make his debut during the IND vs ENG 3rd Test in Rajkot's Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium.
In the 7 test matches played so far, KS Bharat has only managed to score 221 runs at a poor average of 20.
?Bharat?s batting has been well below par while his keeping hasn?t been great either. He isn?t making use of his chances," a source told TOI.
"Dhruv Jurel on the other hand is talented as a good attitude and has a bright future. He has done well for Uttar Pradesh, India A and the Rajasthan Royals in IPL. Don?t be surprised if Jurel makes his Test debut at Rajkot," he added.
KL Rahul to be back into IND vs ENG playing11:
In the other key development, KL Rahul is likely to be back into the playing11 after missing the second IND vs ENG test in Vishakhapatnam. Rahul suffered a quadriceps injury during the first test and was subsequently ruled out for the second game of the five-match series. However, the senior batter is back on the side and is expected to be fit to get into the playing11.
Jasprit Bumrah workload management:
Ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah, whose workload was in question during the last couple of days, is also likely to play in the IND vs ENG 3rd test in Rajkot. The game begins on February 15.
Bumrah, who has bowled the second most number overs in the first two tests for India, was rumoured to be rested for the 3rd game of the series. However, later developments asserted that it wouldn't be a wise call to rest the pacer, given the conditions in Rajkot favour the pacer.
But as a part of his workload management, Jasprit Bumrah will be rested in the Ranchi Test, which is the fourth assignment of the five-match series.
Ravindra Jadeja's comeback subject to fitness:
All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, who sustained a hamstring blow during the 1st test, is under examination by the medical staff at the National Cricket Academy (NCA). Though he has been named in the Indian squad for the next three tests, his appearance will be subject to his fitness levels.
IND vs ENG: Below is India's Playing11 for 3rd Test - Predicted
Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rohit Sharma (c), Shubman Gill, KL Rahul, Rajat Patidar, Ravichandran Ashwin, Dhruv Jurel(wk), Ravindra Jadeja/Washington Sundar, Axar Patel, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohd. Siraj.
