Indian Cricket Team batter Virat Kohli is all set to achieve a massive milestone in ODI cricket. The right-hander needs just 94 runs in the next 66 innings to become the fastest to 14,000 runs in the history of the 50-over format. 

If Virat Kohli achieves the feat inside the next 66 innings, he will be breaking the record of Sachin Tendulkar. The batting great got to 140000 runs in ODIs in 350 innings while Kumar Sangakkara got to the feat in 378 innings.

Virat Kohli will be having a great opportunity to achieve the feat in the upcoming ODI series against England. India will be locking horns with Jos Buttler-led side in the three-match series, which will begin on 6th February in Nagpur. 

With three games to be played, Virat Kohli is likely achieve the feat in the upcoming IND vs ENG ODI series. The right-hander has been the best batter for the team in the 50-over format, and if he achieves the feat in the series, it will be another elite feather in his hat. 

Virat Kohli, of late, has been going through a lean patch, but the series also provides him with an opportunity to return to form and get some confidence. With ODI being his best format, it won't be a surprise if he sets the stage on fire in the three-match series against England. 

To gain some form will be extremely crucial for him as the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is around the corner. The tournament will be played from 19th February and the upcoming IND vs ENG ODI series will be the last for India ahead of the tournament, hence they would be keen to tick all the boxes.

Virat Kohli will be key for his team in the upcoming IND vs ENG series. The premier India batter currently has 13906 runs to his name from 283 ODI innings at an average of 58.18 and a strike rate of 93.54 with 50 centuries and 72 half-centuries.
