Jasprit Bumrah TATA IPL 2023

Jasprit Bumrah has been out of cricketing action since September 2022, having last played for India in the T20I series against Australia. The pacer missed quite a few important games for India and it?s fair to say that his absence was quite evident as they lost big games and a lacked quality pacer.

Jasprit Bumrah was about to make a comeback into the Indian team through the Sri Lanka series in January. He was named in the team but then was ruled out as he complained about stiffness in his back. He underwent surgery in New Zealand and then missed the IPL 2023 along with the ongoing WTC Final.

Since his surgery, Jasprit Bumrah has been putting in hard yards at NCA and has been showing positive signs. The pace has been continuously blowing 8-9 overs in the nets and is expected to play a practice game in the coming days. This comes as a massive boost for the team especially with Asia Cup and World Cup around the corner.

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah gave a massive update about the fitness of ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah. The honorary head of the governing body revealed that the pacer is fully fit and might make a comeback through the Ireland series.

?There is no time frame for these players to declare themselves fit. But we will have consistency in selection after the Ireland tour. No player will be directly included in the World Cup squad without playing matches before that. Bumrah is totally fit and he may go to Ireland."

India is all set to tour Ireland for the three-match T20I series ahead of the Asia Cup 2023. The first game will be played on the 18th of August followed by the second and third games to be played on the 20th and 23rd August. All three games of the series will be played at The Village, Malahide.

If Jasprit Bumrah makes a comeback then three games against Ireland will serve as a great preparation for him to get in groove and gain some match practice ahead of the important two tournaments.
