IND vs NZ: After Day 1 being washed out, New Zealand pacers wreaked havoc at the Chinnaswamy Stadium under overcast conditions on the morning session of Day 2.
India is playing their final home series against the visiting New Zealand side, as the 3-match test series will begin on the 16th of October with the last match scheduled to end on the 5th of November. The scheduled venues will include Chinnaswamy Stadium, MCA Stadium in Pune, and the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
The first test was to begin on Wednesday, but owing to overcast conditions, the day was washed out due to rain. Day 2 had fair weather to begin the game, as India won the toss and elected to bat at Bengaluru.
Coming to bat first, skipper Rohit Sharma again stepped onto the field alongside young sensation Jaiswal. This time nothing went sensational for the two openers, as Rohit was the first one to be dismissed for just 2-runs.
While fans seemed excited by Virat Kohli?s entry at No. 3, a new role in the absence of Shubman Gill. However, even the likes of batters Kohli, Sarfaraz, KL Rahul, and Jadeja all went back to the pavilion for a duck.
A humiliating performance from the Indian side, as they were reduced to a trembling 31/7, with Rishabh Pant being their highest scorer with just 20 runs added by the wicketkeeper batter. India is all-out for 46 runs, with Matt Henry picking a 5-fer and Will O?Rourke also picking 4 wickets, thus reducing India to a below-50 score for the first time since 2020.

India, with this, has registered an unwanted record for themselves, as they become the only team among the full-member Test-playing nations of the ICC to have scored less than 50 runs for the second time in the history of the WTC.
India has had this disgusting record with a below-50 score against Australia in Adelaide back in 2020; this was India?s first humiliating total in the history of the WTC. Following this, they have now registered another below-50 score in the history of the World Test Championship. This is India's lowest-ever Test score in India.
Danger looms over the Indian team, as they might not have the most desired start to their final home campaign as they near a humiliating loss.
