IND vs PAK 2024 T20 World Cup: The buzz around the 2024 T20 World Cup 2024 has begun with the countdown of the marquee event to be held in the West Indies and the USA. In a recent development, Yuvraj Singh, former Indian all-rounder, who has also been announced as the ambassador for the 2024 T20 World Cup, has predicted the 4 semi-finalists for the tournament, which begins on June 1.
The former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh, in the recently held Question/Answer session with the ICC, predicted the top 4 teams which will probably make it to the final rounds of the 2024 T20 World Cup.
The 2007 T20 World Cup-winning cricketer reckons Team India will be among the top teams to proceed to the semi-finals of the elite tournament along with Pakistan, England and Australia.
Notably, the International Cricket Council (ICC) recently announced Yuvraj Singh as the 2024 T20 World Cup brand ambassador. He will be part of the key promotional events for the tournament in the USA and West Indies and will attend all the crucial matches throughout, including the high-octane clash India vs Pakistan.
The 2024 T20 World Cup begins on June 1 in Dallas with the USA taking on Canada in a group A fixture. The tournament will have a total of 52 games, including the 12 Super 8 fixtures. These fixtures will be followed by the Semi-Final 1 & 2 before all eyes lock on the all-important T20 World Cup Final on June 29 in Barbados.
Team India will kickstart its campaign on June 5 against Ireland in New York. The most anticipated IND vs PAK clash will be held on June 09 in New York.

Meanwhile, Yuvraj Singh opened up about being a part of the upcoming T20 World Cup, although, in a very different capacity, during the interview with the ICC. He recalled the moments when he made the record of hitting six sixes in an over against Stuart Broad, calling it his one of the most fondest memories.
“Some of my fondest cricketing memories have come from playing at the T20 World Cup, including hitting six sixes in an over, so it’s very exciting to be part of this edition, which is set to be the biggest one yet,” Yuvraj said as quoted by the ICC.
“The West Indies is a great place to play cricket with the fans coming to watch creating a vibe that is completely unique to that part of the world, while cricket is also expanding in the USA and I’m excited to be part of that growth through the T20 World Cup.”
He also talked about the most talked about and anticipated IND vs PAK clash in the World Cup 2024. Yuvraj reckoned, “India’s clash against Pakistan in New York is going to be one of the biggest sporting fixtures in the world this year, so it’s a privilege to be a part of and to witness the best players in the world playing in a new stadium.”
It’s noteworthy that the squads for the 2024 T20 World Cup will be announced in the next few days. The ICC has marked May 01 as the deadline to submit the final squads for the event for all the participating teams.
