The most anticipated IND vs PAK clash in the Asia Cup 2023 will unfold on September 2nd in Sri Lanka’s Kandy. India and Pakistan are also likely to clash for the second and third time in the same tournament on September 10 and 17 respectively.
Notably, India and Pakistan are grouped alongside Nepal in Group 1 of the six-team Asia Cup 2023. Even if all the odds go against team India, it can be ascertained that India will remain in the top two positions within the group. The same will be the case with Pakistan, which ultimately means that IND vs PAK fixture on September 10 is bound to happen.
Meanwhile, for the third time, India could face Pakistan, if both teams qualify for the finals on September 17, which will be held in Colombo’s R.Premadasa Stadium.
The other second group of the Asia Cup 2023 include Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.
Pakistan and Sri Lanka will jointly host the 13-match tournament, Asia Cup 2023. Four matches will be held in Pakistan, including the tournament opener between Pakistan and Nepal on August 30, whereas the remaining nine matches will be hosted by Sri Lanka, as per the newly approved hybrid model.
Team India are the most decorated team in the Asia Cup, with as many as seven titles, followed by Sri Lanka with six titles against their name.
