IND vs PAK: The India vs Pakistan fixture in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 has been preponed by a day as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and International Cricket Council (ICC) approve the new schedule.
As per the updated schedule for the World Cup 2023, India will play Pakistan on October 14, instead of October 15 in the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Pakistan vs Sri Lanka, which was originally scheduled to be held on October 12, will now be held on October 10 in Hyderabad.
The need to reschedule the IND vs PAK fixture was paramount due to the apparent security concerns on October 15, which is the first day of Navratri in the state of Gujarat.
As per the reports, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has agreed to the changes made to the World Cup schedule and is ready to travel to India for the high-profile event in October-November.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) will now release an updated schedule for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 in the next few days.
Down below is Pakistan's original schedule for World Cup 2023:
October 6 - vs Netherlands in Hyderabad
October 12 - vs Sri Lanka in Hyderabad
October 15 - IND vs PAK in Ahmedabad
October 20 - vs Australia in Bengaluru
October 23 - vs Afghanistan in Chennai
October 27 - vs South Africa in Chennai
