IND vs SL 2023: End of 1st Inning, India Finished at 213/10, Rohit Sharma scored 53 runs whereas Sri Lankan Youngster Dunith Wellalage took five wickets: India and Sri Lanka are playing the fourth Match of the Super 4 round at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Sri Lankan Bowlers showed dominating cricket against mighty Team India.
Team India batted first and got all out by scoring 213 runs on the scoreboard in 49.1 overs. Skipper Rohit Sharma was the highest run scorer from the Indian Side, he scored 53 runs in 48 balls whereas KL Rahul also contributed a lot and he scored 39 runs in 44 balls.
India had a good start in the game but the wonderful spell by youngster Dunith Wellalage led Sri Lanka to a strong position whereas Indian batters were struggling a lot against the spinners of the Sri Lankan Team.
IND vs SL 2023: Rohit and Shubman gave an excellent start to the team, but India failed to capitalise more:
While Batting first, Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill gave another good start to the team as both made the partnership of 80 runs for the 1st wickets in just 11 overs.
But After they got out, India was struggling against the spin attack of Sri Lanka. KL Rahul and Ishan Kisan made a small partnership in the middle overs but couldn’t make it big hence lost their wickets by scoring 39 and 33 runs, respectively.
India’s finishers and lower-order batters got out by scoring single-digit runs and hence failed to finish the inning well they got all out in 49.1 overs and made 213 runs on the scoreboard.
Sri Lankan bowlers bowled phenomenally in this match and couldn’t led any Indian batters to play a big inning. Dunith Wellalage took five wickets whereas Charith Asalanka took four wickets.
