It’s been two days since Rohit Sharma and his men defeated Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2024. The match between the two arch-rivals in the tournament took place on Sunday (9th) June at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.

It was a terrific performance by Rohit Sharma and his team as they snatched the victory from the jaws of defeat. They looked down and dusted and nobody gave them a real chance. But they stood tall against all the odds and came up with a magnificent effort with the ball.

India was asked to bat first and it was a horrible outing for them with the bat. They couldn’t get going at all as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. They looked clueless against the fast bowlers and got bundled out for just 119 runs and couldn’t bat the entire 20 overs.

Even with the ball, India didn’t have a great start. Pakistan batted magnificently and were 56/1. They needed 47 runs from just 47 balls and it looked like Men in Green would chase the target easily but it wasn’t the case as Indian bowlers staged a magnificent comeback.

Jasprit Bumrah was the key factor behind that as he chipped in with crucial wickets. Hardik Pandya supported him well in the middle as India was all over Pakistan. They restricted the opposition to 113 runs and won the game by 6 runs.

Skipper Rohit Sharma was magnificent as the leader of the team. He made brilliant bowling changes and made sure that his team didn’t panic at all. The way he set the field placements was also sensational as India closed the game pretty well.

What caught the attention of many was Rohit Sharma’s attitude after the win. The skipper looked cold as he walked past the Pakistan players after shaking hands and gave thumbs up to the fans, who came out in numbers.
