"Indian Bowlers Are Not Threatening": Pakistani Player Made Scathing Attack On Indian Bowlers: The Indian bowling attack came under fire from Pakistani batsman Ahmed Shehzad, who claimed that despite their illustrious reputations, they lack the ability to frighten the opposition. According to Ahmed Shehzad, India's bowling lineup is devoid of any threatening bowlers.
India is set to tour West Indies next month, where they will play two Test matches, three ODIs, and five T20Is. Indian Squad for West Indies tour is not announced yet and as the speculations are going on, BCCI is to announce the squad soon.
When asked in the Nadir Ali Podcast to name or identify an Indian bowler that may significantly threaten the opponents, Shehzad?who last competed for Pakistan in a T20I in 2019?said that he didn't perceive any of them to be particularly scary or dangerous to opposition batters. However, Shehzad admitted India have some really good quality batters and are dangerous.?
He said, "No disrespect to them. But there hasn't been any threatening bowler from India that the opposition batter is scared to play him. They have good bowlers like [Jasprit] Bumrah, [Ravindra] Jadeja and [Ravichandran] Ashwin, but there has not been a dangerous bowler as such. Their batters are dangerous."
Shahzad was asked to choose the most dangerous bowler from the Pakistani side that he has faced after thinking back on his own experiences with bowlers. In answer, he reflected on his early team years when he had the chance to compete against the legendary pacer Shoaib Akhtar.
"I can't recollect any other bowler apart from Shoaib Akhtar. When I was new to the team, he was already THE Shoaib Akhtar. So I faced six-eight balls from a reverse-swinging old ball against Akhtar," he replied.
Shehzad also discussed the heated argument between Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir that garnered significant media attention during the IPL 2023. The Pakistani batsman believed Gambhir was to blame and must have apologized to Kohli via phone.
?See this is not my work, but I am giving my opinion only because you have asked me. I might be wrong. From the outside, what that incident made the perception that Gambhir is Jealous of Virat. What he could not achieve in his lifetime, Virat has earned it in that small age. I think it was Gambhir?s mistake. If he wants to show his nobility, Gautam Gambhir should call Virat Kohli on his phone and apologize,? he added.
?If Gambhir does that (apologize to Kohli), yes, we will agree that he came out as the bigger man, how much he loves Virat Kohli, how he gave away his Man of the Match award to him,? he added.
