IND vs WI: Rinku Singh all to be named in the T20I team for West Indies
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) recently announced the Test and the ODI squad for the upcoming Test series against West Indies. But many are still awaiting the T20I team. The governing body is likely to name the team soon.
And as per the reports in the Times of India (TOI), it is learned that Rinku Singh is the prime candidate to make it into the T20 team. The BCCI since the last T20 World Cup has been providing opportunities to quite a few youngsters under the leadership of Hardik Pandya.
Rinku Singh was at his absolute best in the recently concluded Indian Premier League (IPL). He set the stage on fire with their impressive performances and took the league by storm. What was impressive was their fearless cricket which they showed and even in pressure situations, they held their nerves.

Rinku Singh hogged the headlines for hitting 5 sixes in 5 balls to win the game for his side against Gujarat Titans. He was the leading run-getter for KKR this year as he amassed 474 runs from 14 games. Notably, he averaged 152.5 in the chases.
IND vs WI: Doors still open for Cheteshwar Pujara and Umesh Yadav in Test Team
The reports also suggested that Umesh Yadav was not dropped from the team and is rather injured, which is the main reason he was not picked for the Test team. The reports also suggested that doors are not closed for Cheteshwar Pujara and that if he performs well in the domestic circuit he might get a chance back. The batter will now be a part of the Duleep Trophy and if he manages to perform well, he can eye a comeback.
