IND vs ZIM: A win to remember for Zimbabwe. The hosts Zimbabwe have defeated India in the first T20I by 13 runs at the Harare Sports Club.

Sikandar Raza and the entire Zimbabwe were absolutely ecstatic with the last wicket fall. It felt like it was India's game after the first innings but what Zimbabwe bowlers did in the second innings was simply exceptional.

IND vs ZIM Match Summary

Batting first, Zimbabwe got an early setback as Mukesh Kumar dismissed in-form Innocent Kaia in the first ball of the second over. Brian Bennett and Wessly Madhevere gave a good start to the team.

Ravi Bishnoi then came to bowl the last over of the Powerplay and bowled out Brian and Madhevere in his second over. Wicketkeeper-batter Clive Madande played an important knockdown the order of 29 runs and his valiant efforts put Zimbabwe to 115 mark.

Ravi Bishnoi was brilliant with the ball and so was Washington Sunder. Bishnoi picked up 4 wickets and Sunder took 2 at an economy of 2.80. It was all now on the batting and surely their eyes would have lit up as they have just 116 to chase in 120 balls.

Abhishek Sharma received his maiden call to the playing 11 and his debut was something he won't be too happy with. He got out in the first fourth ball of the innings without scoring.

Shubman Gill held one end and wickets kept falling from the other end. India lost four wickets within the powerplay for just 28 runs. Skipper Gill played a 31-run knock he too got out after 10 overs when India were just 47 in total.

Avesh Khan played a cameo and pulled the lever towards India. He smoked 16 runs in 12 runs but Raza's excellence and Chatara picked up wickets in line again and left India hung on a thin wire. Washington Sunder was the last hope standing for India and he tried hard in the end but Zimbabwe were too good in the last overs and bundled out India under 102 runs.
