Champions Trophy 2025: After ensuring its victory in the T20 World Cup 2024, the next target of the Indian team is the Champions Trophy to be held in Pakistan. This ICC event will be held in the early months of 2025, and it has not yet been confirmed whether the Indian team will go to Pakistan or not. India will play only three ODIs before the Champions Trophy 2025, which clearly means that there will be very little opportunity for the selection committee and head coach Gautam Gambhir to test the performance of the key players.

The Champions Trophy 2025 will be played in ODI format this time, Shubman Gill, Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal are the strongest contenders for the opener. Now it will be interesting to see whether Rohit's opening partner will be Gill or Jaiswal.
The middle order may be on the shoulders of Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer. Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel and Riyan Parag can be selected in the squad for the role of all-rounder.
Jaspreet Bumrah will play the lead role in bowling whereas his fellow bowlers can include Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammad Siraj, Arshdeep Singh, Harshit Rana.
