The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the 18-member Indian team for the Border Gavaskar Trophy (India vs Australia in Australia), the biggest series from the point of view of the Indian team and their fans for the World Test Championship 2023-25 ??cycle. In the highly-anticipated Border-Gavaskar Test series, the responsibility of the Indian Test team will be on the shoulders of Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah will be the vice-captain. The team includes senior players like King Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja.
For the India vs Australia Test series starting from 22 November, three new faces have got a chance in the Indian squad for the first time, Abhimanyu Easwaran, Harshit Rana and Nitish Reddy have been selected in the Indian Test squad for the first time. On the other hand, Chinaman spinner Kuldeep Yadav has missed out on a place in the squad. Kuldeep is suffering from left back pain during the ongoing India vs New Zealand Test. As soon as the series ends, he has been referred to the BCCI Center of Excellence for treatment.
