India vs Australia Semi Final Champions Trophy: Weather Report and Pitch update of Dubai International Stadium

India vs Australia Semi Final Champions Trophy: Weather Report and Pitch update of Dubai International Stadium

India vs Australia semi final: Team India, under the leadership of Rohit Sharma, is all set to take on Steve Smith-led Australia in the first semi-final of the ICC Men's Champions Trophy 2025. This highly-anticipated clash between the two fierce rivals will be played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai on Tuesday, 4th of March.

The Indian Team ended the group stage phase of the tournament in a flamboyant fashion as they dominated Group-A with a three-match winning streak and finished as the table toppers.

They started off their Champions Trophy campaign with a win over Bangladesh, followed by a dominant win versus arch rivals and defending champions Pakistan. In their final group stage game, they secured the top position by securing a solid 44-run victory over Mitchell Santner's New Zealand

Australia, on the other hand, ended Group-B at the second position, behind South Africa. They have secured just a single win in three matches as their encounters against South Africa & Afghanistan were washed out due to rain. Their only match in the tournament so far was a high-scoring victory over arch rivals England.

They have not lifted the Champions Trophy since 2009 and despite missing the services of key players like Josh Hazelwood, Mitchell Marsh, Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc, they will be looking to triumph over the Men in Blue in the first semi-final.

The most recent meeting of the two teams in ODI Cricket was the 2023 ODI World Cup final in Ahmedabad, where the Aussies outclassed the Men in Blue to lift the trophy. But, the current Australian side looks weaker in comparison to the one that defeated the Rohit Sharma-led side by a margin of six wickets in Ahmedabad in November of last year.

Indian players will still have the defeat in the final in their minds and they will be going all out against the Kangaroos to take revenge of that heart-breaking World Cup final defeat. Ahead of this mouth-watering clash, let's take a look at the Weather Forecast and Pitch report of the Dubai International Cricket Stadium

India vs Australia Semi Final Champions Trophy: Pitch Report of Dubai International Cricket Stadium

The pitch of the Dubai International Cricket Stadium has provided a significant amount of assistance to the batters in the group stage matches of the Champions Trophy 2025. The batters make full use of the bounce offered by the surface to play their shots with ease.

As the game progresses, the spin bowlers start coming into play causing a significant amount of damage to the batters. The Indian team recently fielded four spin bowlers in their recently concluded group stage encounter versus New Zealand at this ground and while this decision was scrutinized by many, it worked our really well for Rohit Sharma and his men.

Keeping in mind the way the surface has played out in recent games, the toss-winning skipper would want to bat first and put up a strong total on the board.
