The 2nd match of the three-match ODI series between Team India and England is slated to be played on the 9th of February (Sunday). This contest between both teams will be played at the Barabati Cricket Stadium of Cuttack from 1:30 PM IST (Indian Standard Time) onwards. In the first match of the series, the Men in Blue triumphed over the Three Lions by a margin of four wickets.

In the opening match of the series, the English skipper Joe Buttler won the toss and asked the Rohit Sharma-led outfit to bowl first. Skipper Buttler played a brilliant inning of 52 runs and Jacob Bethell also supported him well by scoring a fifty but in the end, they failed to cross the 250 runs mark.
The Men in Blue had to score 249 runs in 50 overs to win this encounter and they did just that as they chased down the target in just 38.4 overs at the expense of six wickets.
Veteran batsman Virat Kohli did not play in the first match of the ODI series being played between Team India and England. King Kohli was out of the playing eleven due to a swollen knee. The duo of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Harshit Rana made their ODI debut for Team India. The return of King Kohli in the second ODI is considered certain. The team management will expect a good performance from him in the remaining matches in order to prepare him in a thorough manner for the upcoming Champions Trophy.
