India vs England 2nd Test: Fan breaches the bio-bubble of the players during the lunch.
India vs England 2nd Test: With the strict rules and protocols in action against the bio-bubble breach by the players, India-England 2nd Test match saw a case of fan breaching the rules. A young fan during the lunch on Day 3 of the second test match between India and England climbed the fence and entered the ground before he was caught by the security personnel. He was eventually handed over to the cops for the violations of the rules and regulations.
Amid the tensions of the coronavirus, all the games across the globe are played under the strict rules implemented by the governing authorities. All the players, umpires and the match officials are following the bio-bubble rules.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) together went one step ahead and brought fans back to the stadium for the second test match at Chennai. The government has allowed conducting the sporting events at 50 per cent crowd.
This is the first time since the covid-19 outbreak in March 2019 that BCCI has allowed fans to watch the cricketing action live. The recent Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 was conducted behind the closed bars in UAE.
The fans are back into the stands and Tamil Nadu Cricket Association has assured a strong vigilance to ensure that the covid-19 protocols are followed properly. But still, a breach happened during the lunch when some reserved players from both the sides were seen practising on the ground.
The BCCI and the TNCA will be on alert to monitor any such actions if they happen again.
India and England will play the third and fourth test match at newly refurbished Sardar Vallabhbhai Stadium (Motera Stadium) at Ahmedabad and the tickets for which are live.
