India vs England Test Series: If bio-bubble becomes overbearing, no shame in saying that: Jofra Archer.
India vs England test series: England?s pace spearhead Jofra Archer says if the managed bio-bubble becomes overbearing, there is no shame in walking out off that.
England and India have a power-packed year as the four games Test series in India is followed by 5 T20Is and three games ODI series against India. April will have IPL, then the five games test series against India in England and the T20 World Cup in the sub-continent.
?Funny enough, looked at the schedule today, then I can say it is going to be a long year and February just started.
?It is going to be one tough year packed with full cricket actions every month. We have got a few crucial series coming and I think the body management will be one key factor to take in mind if I want to take part in all of these,? Jofra Archer said during the virtual conference after the full practice session.
Archer also talks about the bio-bubble throughout the year.
?I don?t have a choice really (laughs)? I don?t mind, to be honest, because I know I will get my time away, so I am just going to focus on the job I have now. If it gets too overbearing, there is no shame in saying that.?
Archer was quick enough to counter when asked about the critical players leaving the bubble.
?Well, anyone who is just criticising from the outside world has never been to this for a week or a month I should say. A golfer pulled back after four days of isolation and we are here for almost a year now. At the end of the day, humans are social people and I especially,? Archer added.
?If you have not spent the day well, something is not good with your cricket on that day, then there is no escape. You have to be here. Everyone gets time and come afresh after that. Jos (Buttler) is done and Curran is also out of the game for a bit. Everyone gets time away.?
Archer said that he will be targeting short bursts if the management goes with three pacers.
?The gameplan depends upon the combination of the team. If we are with three seamers then I won?t be bowling long spells but everything depends on the situation and need of the hour. Short and Long don?t matter to me.?
