India vs England: The spectators will have to maintain social distancing and wear mask for the second test.
India vs England 2nd Test Match: The authorities of the MA Chidambaram Stadium Chennai have released the guidelines for the commencement for the second test between India and England. The guidelines will help spectators for the safe conduction of the game.
The spectators will be allowed to enter the stadium for the second test starting February 13th. Nearly about 15,000 spectators will be registered to watch the action live for the first time since March 2020.
The covid-19 outbreak in March 2020 forced every sporting to shut and since then the game of cricket in India is being played behind the closed doors.
?Conditions to be adhered by the spectators during the 2nd Test Match at MAC Stadium. Face mask, covering mouth and nose, is mandatory for entry into the stadium and maintain social distancing within the stadium premises at all times,? TNCA said in a media release.
?Anyone who will be fount with the symptoms of Covid-19 like fever, cough, cold etc will be barred from the entry.?
Strict action against those indulging in racial activities:
The guidelines also include the written statement against any sort of racial abuse inside the stadium. The authorities have cautioned the crowd to be away from such activities and if found guilty, then he/she will be subjected to the strict action.
During the recent India tour of Australia, some Indian cricketers were racially abused to which the senior players and management lodged a complaint and Cricket Australia also admits the matter and assured BCCI and the cricketers that strict action will be taken against such people.
?Spectators are cautioned not to indulge or display anti-racist, religious or political activities, foul/abusive/unruly language inside the stadium, that could disturb the game and such persons will be dealt with in accordance to the law."
The use of binoculars, speakers and musical instruments is prohibited by the authorities.
Other restricted things include computers, laptops, professional shooting cameras, musical instruments, radios, laser pointers, tape recorder, bags, Jholas, Bands etc.
The media person will be allowed to cover the game.
The three stand I, J and K will be open for the first time since World Cup 2011. The aforementioned three stands were closed after various issues, the biggest issue was the city was deprived of the chances to host international and key games.
