India VS Sri Lanka Super 4 Asia Cup 1st Innings (India Batting):?
The Indian batting innings did not have an ideal start. Rahul and Kohli both departed early. The star with the bat for India was Rohit Sharma. Sharma was timing the ball very well. After India stood at 13/2. Rohit and Surya batted and took India to 110. At that point, India lost Rohit and the game started to lose track. India was reduced to 119/4 with the dismissal of Surya. Hardik, Rishabh, and Deepak Hooda contributed bits to take India to a very respectable 173/8 in 20 overs. ?
The top bowler was Dilshan Madhushanka. Madhushanka snapped 3 crucial wickets. He got rid of Virat Kohli, Deepak Hooda, and Rishabh Pant. ?
India VS Sri Lanka Super 4 Asia Cup 2nd Innings (Sri Lanka Batting):
The Sri Lankans had an ideal start to the game. Pathum Nissanka proved why the Sri Lanka management was backing him. His timing was elite. Kusal Mendis carried on the form from his last match. They both tonked the Indian bowlers and got to their respective 50s in no time. In the 11th over, Yuzvendra Chahal bought India back in the game by dismissing Nissanka and Asalanka in the same over.?
But from then on it was Bhanuka Rajapaksha and Dasun Shanaka who took charge. The Sri Lankans required 60+ runs in the last 6 overs. The duo made a mockery of this score. They batted like there was no tomorrow. They tonked the Indian bowlers more. Hardik Pandya and Arshdeep Singh were taken for runs. They managed to outscore the Indian team with 1 ball to spare and 6 wickets in hand. ?
