The second match of the series was also played at Wankhede Stadium, where the Australia-W team won the toss, batted first, and scored 258 runs at a loss of eight wickets in the stipulated 50 overs. Opener batsman Phoebe Litchfield scored 63 runs in 98 balls with the help of six fours, while Ellyse Perry scored 50 runs in just 47 balls with the help of five fours and one six. Chasing the target of 258 runs, the Indian women's team lost the match by just three runs. The Indian team could score only 255 runs at a loss of eight wickets in a total of 50 overs. Wicketkeeper batsman Richa Ghosh scored the most runs for the team. Richa played a brilliant inning with 96 runs at a strike rate of 82. Jemimah Rodrigues scored 44 runs, while Deepti Sharma played a not-out inning of 24 runs but failed to lead the team to victory.
